Level 4 Higher Level Teaching Assistants Course. Work-based training at your workplace. You train while working in your school, applying your learning directly in the classroom. Your school must recommend you, and you'll be expected to take full classes independently as part of the course. Over 12 months, you'll cover child development, special educational needs, behaviour management, curriculum planning, and supporting individual learners and small groups. This TQUK higher level teaching assistants qualification costs £1,445, which includes a £45 resource fee.

Who this course is for

The TQUK Certificate in Higher Level Teaching Assistant (RQF) is aimed at those learners currently working as a Teaching Assistant who wish to progress to Higher Level Teaching Assistant status.

The TQUK Level 4 Certificate for Higher Level Teaching Assistants (RQF) will provide learners with the knowledge and understanding when analysing and addressing the different challenges that classroom assistants are likely to encounter. Learners will also understand working with individuals and with small groups as well as gaining essential insight into supporting pupils with special educational needs (SEN). Candidates must be recommended by their school as they will be expected to take full classes at their school from time to time.

Assessment is work-based, drawing on your classroom practice and professional experience. Your school's recommendation is required before you start, and you'll take full classes independently as part of your assessed work.
