Level 3 Teaching Assistant Course. Work-based training at your workplace. You study while working in a support role in a school or college, applying what you learn directly in the classroom. This is a 12-month course, so you build your skills steadily alongside your day-to-day work. You'll cover how to support teachers, help students get the most from their lessons, and contribute effectively to classroom learning. This level 3 teaching assistant qualification is funded through an Advanced Learner Loan, not a free place.
Who this course is for
This qualification is aimed at learners working in support roles within schools and colleges. This course is about providing support in the classroom. After all, teachers aren’t the only ones who make a difference to learning in schools. Learning support staff, such as teaching assistants, play a vital role in today’s classrooms by making sure students get the most out of their lessons.

How you will learn
This is a work-based qualification, so your learning happens in your school or college placement. You'll build a portfolio of evidence drawn from your day-to-day work in the classroom.
