
Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning Course in Chicksands, Shefford. Classes run at Priory House Chicksands, part-time during the day over 15 months. An Advanced Learner Loan may be available to help with costs, and payment in instalments can also be arranged.
You must be at least 19 years old and working or volunteering in a school or college setting for at least 15 hours a week. The course covers specialist support across key stages, including planning and delivering learning activities alongside the teacher, bilingual support, and special educational needs support. You'll also develop skills in assessing and reviewing learning strategies.
You'll finish with an NCFE Technical Occupational Entry in Supporting Teaching and Learning Diploma at Level 3.

This level 3 work-based qualification provides you with an in-depth understanding of the knowledge and skills needed when working directly with children and young people in school and college environments. It covers all aspects of specialist support including planning; delivering and reviewing assessment strategies to support learning alongside the teacher; bilingual support; special needs support; and personal development and reflective practice. The qualification is assessed by being observed in the workplace and completing e-learning and written tasks. You need to be working in a suitable role for a minimum of 15 hours per week.
