Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work Course in Andover. Classes run at Sparsholt College Andover Campus. This is a one-day course, running for 6 hours in the daytime. You'll cover how to respond to a range of workplace emergencies, from unconsciousness and cardiac arrest to wounds and shock. What you will learn
You'll learn how to assess an emergency scene and keep yourself and others safe.
You'll practise CPR and how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED).
You'll learn how to manage an unconscious casualty, including the recovery position.
You'll learn how to treat wounds, bleeding, and shock.
You'll learn how to recognise and respond to choking in adults.
You'll learn how to record and report a first aid incident correctly.
How you will learn
Learning is classroom based and hands-on. You'll take part in practical demonstrations and scenario-based exercises throughout the day. Assessment is by a short written or verbal test and observation of your practical skills. Both elements are completed on the day of the course.
