Where next

Jobs you could do

  • First Aider: the named first aider responsible for emergency response at work.
  • Appointed Person (First Aid): covers first aid responsibilities in smaller, low-risk workplaces.
  • Warehouse Operative: many warehouse roles require a current emergency first aid at work certificate.
  • Construction Labourer: site rules often require at least one first aider per team.
  • Care Assistant: first aid knowledge supports safe working in care settings.
  • Retail Supervisor: supervisors are often nominated as the first aider on shift.

What you could study next

Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (FAW): the full three-day qualification for higher-risk workplaces or those who want broader first aid coverage. Employers in construction, manufacturing, and care often require FAW rather than EFAW. Paediatric First Aid qualifications are worth considering if you work with children. IOSH Managing Safely is a natural next step if you want to move into a broader health and safety role.
