Level 3 Electrical Installations Course in Slough. Classes run at Slough and Langley College, part-time during the day. This electrical installations qualification covers the IET 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671:2018) and is designed for practising electricians and allied professionals such as surveyors, consultants, and other trades needing to update their knowledge. You must be 18 or over and have a basic knowledge of electrical science to join. The course runs over 30 hours.

What you will learn
You'll study the structure and content of BS7671:2018, the IET 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
You'll understand the key changes introduced in the 18th Edition compared to earlier editions.
You'll learn the requirements for protection against electric shock and fault protection.
You'll explore the regulations covering special installations and locations.
You'll develop your knowledge of earthing arrangements and protective conductors.
You'll understand the inspection, testing, and certification requirements set out in the regulations.
How you will learn
You'll attend classroom-based sessions at Slough and Langley College. Learning is delivered through taught sessions covering the BS7671:2018 regulations. Assessment is by a written examination set by City and Guilds. You'll need to pass this exam to achieve the Award.
