Entry requirements

No previous knowledge or skills are required prior to starting this course. The course is aimed at people with little or no previous experience.

What you will learn

  • You'll remove existing tiles and bathroom suites safely.
  • You'll carry out essential plumbing pipework for baths, basins, and toilets.
  • You'll prepare and prime surfaces for tiling, including tanking wet areas.
  • You'll tile a bathroom to a finished standard.
  • You'll fit a bath, basin, and toilet.
  • You'll apply finishing touches to complete a bathroom installation.
  • You'll carry out plastering or carpentry work as part of a bathroom refurbishment (your choice of trade).

How you will learn

Training is practical and classroom-based at Construction Skills College. You'll learn through hands-on exercises covering plumbing, tiling, and your chosen third trade. Assessment is based on your ability to carry out installation tasks to the required standard. No previous knowledge is needed before you start.
