About this course

Level 3 Autism Course. Study online, at your own pace, over 24 weeks. An Advanced Learning Loan may be available to help with the cost, and fees may apply depending on your circumstances. The course covers autism in depth, including legislation, communication support, therapeutic interventions, safeguarding, and how to support individuals through transitions. You'll use an e-learning package and receive tutor feedback electronically throughout. The provider suggests completing a Level 2 Understanding Autism qualification first, or having a relevant Level 3 qualification or significant care sector experience.

Who this course is for

We have designed this course to support you with working in the care sector. We suggest that you complete Level 2 Understanding Autism, before applying for this course. This allows you to build your knowledge of autism before beginning Level 3. We would consider applications from learners with a Level 3 or higher qualification in a related subject or those who have significant workplace experience. Decisions are made on a case-by-case basis so please get in touch if you feel you meet this criteria.�

You will need good IT skills and access to a computer, laptop, or tablet, with regular and reliable internet connection. This can be at home, at work, or in a library. English language skills at Level 2 are required (BKSB Level 2). You will be asked to complete an online assessment in English after submitting a course application.

How you will learn

This is a distance learning course. You'll work through an e-learning package and complete assessment activities electronically. A tutor will review your work and provide written feedback on your progress throughout the course. There are no classroom sessions. You study in your own time, making it possible to fit learning around work or other commitments.
