Level 3 Assessor Course. Study online, with monthly evening sessions via Zoom and self-paced assignments you complete in your own time. The course takes a minimum of six months. You'll learn to assess learners' occupational competence in the workplace and evaluate vocational skills and knowledge in training environments. To enrol, you need a minimum of NVQ Level 2 (or comparable qualification) in the subject area you plan to assess, and access to assess at least two apprentices working toward a relevant qualification.
Who this course is for
This is a practical-based qualification intended for learners 19 years and over who are in the hair and beauty industry and would like to be able to assess both occupational competence in the workplace, and work related skills in a training environment such as in a salon, training centre or classroom. The course will give you the knowledge and skills required to assess work related learning to the required industry standards.

Suitable candidates for this qualification must have access to assess a minimum of two different apprentices studying towards a qualification you are looking to become an assessor for. It is crucial that you have full competence in the vocational subject area you will be assessing. You will need a minimum of NVQ level 2, or comparable qualification, in the area you are assessing in.
