Level 3 Adult Care Course. Work-based training at your workplace. You learn while you work, building the skills and knowledge needed to take on greater responsibility in an adult care role. The course covers care planning, safeguarding, health and wellbeing, and supporting people with autonomy and dignity. It typically takes 15 months to complete. There are no formal entry requirements.

This qualification allows candidates to learn, develop and demonstrate the skills and knowledge required for employment and/or career progression in Adult Care within a role which has some autonomy, delegated responsibility or where there may be a need for supervision of others.

How you will learn
You learn through your day-to-day work in an adult care role. Assessment combines observation in the workplace, professional discussion, and a portfolio of evidence showing your skills and knowledge. You'll work with an assessor who visits you at work to review your practice and progress. There are no exams.

The centre will provide most materials. Vts will confirm anything else you need before you start.
