About this course

Level 2 Photography Course in Peterlee. Evening photography classes run at East Durham College Peterlee Campus, one or two evenings a week. The course runs over 30 weeks and covers 120 hours of study across three units. You'll explore taking and manipulating images through practical and theoretical projects, and use the college's online learning platform to revisit work and stay in touch with your tutor. You'll need three GCSEs at grade 3 or above, including Maths and English, to apply.

Who this course is for

The course is delivered 1-2 evenings per week. Learners will study a total of 120 hours and three units to gain a total of 16 credits. Practical and theoretical tasks will be covered in sessions and will lead to projects enabling learners to explore taking and manipulating images. Use of the college's VLE (Moodle 2) will allow learners to revisit work and communicate with the tutor and peers.

Entry requirements

3 GCSEs with grades 3 or above (including Maths and English) Entry onto any course at East Durham College is subject to final approval from the Assistant Principal. Where relevant, the term ‘entry requirements’ also includes DBS checks, references, fitness to practice, etc.
