About this course

Level 2 Performing and Production Arts Course in Maidenhead. Classes run at Berkshire College of Agriculture, full-time during the day over 35 weeks.

The course is highly practical. You'll explore the essential elements of theatre and film production, including costume, set design, prop development and production management. You'll work through workshops and practical assignments to build real subject knowledge. You'll need four GCSEs at grade 3 or above, including English or maths. Some previous production experience is helpful but not essential.

You'll finish with a University of the Arts London Diploma in Performing and Production Arts.

Who this course is for

Have you ever wondered what it takes to design, make, produce and run a show or film? Our Level 2 Production Arts course is an ideal foundation from which to explore the essential elements that make up theatre and film production (and beyond!). On the course, our students create meaning and storytelling through costume, set design, prop development and production management. This course is highly practical. You will learn through a combination of workshops, practical assignment briefs and regular projects. To complement your learning we organise a wide range of trips which help to broaden your understanding of production skills.

Entry requirements

Four GCSEs at grade 3 or above. One of these should be English or maths. Students with lower than a grade 4 in maths and/or English will resit as part of their study programme. Some previous production work (school or amateur) or a portfolio would be advantageous but is not essential.
