About this course

Level 2 Information and Creative Technology Course in Kensington and Chelsea. Classes run at Morley College London North Kensington Campus, part-time during the day. The course runs over 35 weeks, giving you time to balance study with other commitments. You'll work toward the Pearson BTEC Level 2 information and creative technology qualification, covering both technical and creative digital skills. Entry requires a minimum of four GCSEs at grade 3 or above, including English and Maths. If you haven't yet reached grade 4 in either subject, you'll be expected to study GCSE or Functional Skills alongside this course.

Who this course is for

Pearson BTEC Level 2 First Extended Certificate in Information and Creative Technology. It is the main qualification as part of a study programme. You will be expected to study English and Maths as part of your study programme. If you have not yet achieved a grade 4 at GCSE (C) you will expected to enrol onto an appropriate English and /or Maths course at GCSE or Functional Skills dependent upon your entry grade and/or initial assessment. Specific aims of the BTEC First Extended Certificate in Information and Creative Technology are to: Allow learners to specialise in Information and Creative Technology or to deepen their understanding through the provision of a broad range of optional specialist units. Provide a comprehensive and challenging programme of study related to Information and Creative Technology, suited to post-16 learners who have the relevant interest and aptitude. Give learners the potential opportunity to progress to employment or to employment in a wide range of job roles across the Information and Creative Technology sector, for example in roles such as software engineer, website content manager, computer animator, helpdesk support, and graphic designer. Entry requirements

If you are aged 16 to 18.? You have achieved minimum of 4 GCSEs at 3 (D) or above OR achieved successfully an appropriate qualification at level 1. You will be expected to hold 3 (D) or above in English and Maths. If you have not yet achieved a grade 4 at GCSE (C) you will expected to enrol onto an appropriate English and/or Maths course at GCSE or Functional Skills dependent upon your entry grade and/or initial assessment.

Your work is assessed by your tutor and moderated externally by Pearson Edexcel.
