Level 2 Health and Safety in the Workplace Course. Work-based training at your workplace. You study while you're in your job role, applying what you learn directly to your working environment. The course covers risk assessment, manual handling, working at height, and health risks in construction settings. It takes around 2 weeks to complete. There are no formal entry requirements, and the course is open to anyone aged 16 or over.
Who this course is for
The purpose and aim of this unit is to provide the learner with the skills and knowledge required in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment. Learning Outcome: 1. Know the principles of risk assessment for maintaining and improving health and safety at work 2. Know the importance of safe manual handling in the workplace 3. Know the importance of working safely at height in the workplace 4. Know risks to health within a construction environment 5. Know the importance of working around plant and equipment safely

Learning takes place in your workplace. The course is structured around five knowledge-based topics, delivered to fit around your job role. Assessment is based on your understanding of each topic area. Your employer supports your study throughout the two weeks.
