About this course

Level 2 Children and Young People's Mental Health Course. Study online at your own pace, fitting learning around your other commitments. This NCFE children and young people's mental health qualification covers mental health conditions that affect children and young people, the legislation and guidance that surrounds mental health, risk factors that can affect wellbeing, and the impact mental health concerns can have on young people and those around them. The course takes around 135 hours to complete. You'll need a good standard of written English and must complete an online induction before you start.

If you are interested in learning more about children and young people and their mental health, then this course will equip you with a more detailed understanding of mental health conditions that affect children and young people, the legislation and guidance surrounding mental health, risk factors that may affect mental well-being and the impact that mental health concerns may have on young people and others.

Entry requirements

Your English must be of a standard that will enable you to complete any written work. For a funded/part funded course, you must be aged 19+ on 31 August 2024 and UK resident for at least 3 years. You must complete an online induction, which includes online safety, before you begin a course with us.

You'll study entirely online, working through course materials at your own pace. Before you begin, you'll complete an online induction that covers online safety. Assessment is through written work completed online. Your English needs to be at a standard that allows you to complete written tasks.
