About this course

Level 2 Childcare Course. Study online at your own pace, fitting learning around your other commitments. You can study using an e-learning package and textbooks from any device with broadband access. The course typically takes 24 weeks to complete. A fee applies, though concessions are available for eligible learners. You'll build knowledge of children's development, nutrition, and safeguarding responsibilities for those who care for children and young people. This level 2 childcare qualification is a solid step toward entry-level roles or further training in childcare and youth work.

Who this course is for

This course is suitable for anyone currently working with or intending to work, with children and young people or anyone who wishes to increase their understanding of care for these age groups. The qualification can also be used to complement a personal or voluntary role working with children and young people. Successful completion of this course will prepare you for further learning or training and or develop knowledge required for entry level job roles working with children and young people. It is not necessary to have formally studied this subject prior to enrolling on this course, although you may have done an introductory course or have some experience of this subject.

You will need good IT skills and access to a computer, laptop, or table, with regular and reliable internet connection. This can be at home, work or a library. All materials are provided as part of the course.
