Level 2 Care Course. Work-based training at your workplace. You learn while you work, applying your skills in a real care setting from day one. There are no entry requirements, so you can start wherever you are in your career. The course takes around two years to complete. You'll cover the knowledge and practical skills needed to support people in adult social care roles. This level 2 care qualification is awarded by NCFE.

How you will learn
You'll be assessed through observations in your workplace, professional discussions, and a portfolio of evidence gathered from your day-to-day work. Assessment takes place on the job, so you demonstrate your skills in real care situations. Your assessor will visit you at work to observe your practice and review your evidence throughout the course.

The centre will provide most materials. Lancaster and Morecambe College will confirm anything else you need before you start.
