Free Level 1 Understanding Safeguarding in Education and Childcare Settings Course in Barking and Dagenham. Classes run at Rush Green Campus. Daytime sessions run part-time, so you can fit study around other commitments. You'll have an initial assessment to make sure this is the right level for you. The course covers how to recognise and respond to safeguarding concerns in education and childcare settings. It takes around 30 hours to complete. Roles such as teaching assistant, nursery practitioner, and support worker all require a solid understanding of safeguarding.

How you will learn
You'll learn through classroom-based sessions at Rush Green Campus. Assessment is through written assignments or short-answer questions that test your understanding of safeguarding principles and practice. There are no exams. Your tutor will guide you through the material during class time.
