This programme supports you to develop core animal care skills while building confidence and transferable employability habits. You will work in the animal unit with different species and learn the basics of welfare safe handling feeding and accommodation care. It also gives you the chance to improve maths and English alongside practical learning to support progression.

Entry requirements for external applicants and school leavers
Two or more GCSEs at Grade 2 or above, or successful completion of an Entry Level qualification.
Learners with relevant industry experience but no GCSEs at Grade 2 may be considered based on interview. For some courses this may include GCSE English or maths grade 2 or equivalent.
