What you will learn

  • You'll understand vocabulary used in common everyday and work-related contexts.
  • You'll follow written instructions and simple documents.
  • You'll read texts written for different purposes and audiences.

How you will learn

Classes are classroom based and run part-time during the day. You'll learn through guided reading activities, group work, and tasks set by your tutor. Assessment is through reading tasks set by the English Speaking Board. These are completed as part of the course and marked against the Level 1 standard.

The centre will provide most materials. Brockley Adult Education Centre will confirm anything else you need before you start.
