Who this course is for

This course is the second and final module of our GCSE Maths learning programme, which starts in term 1 with Module 1: Stepping Up to GCSE Maths. The course is designed to maintain the provision of a solid foundation in mathematics for students and to prepare them for the General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) examination at the Foundation level. It is suitable for students who have successfully completed Module 1, "Stepping up to GCSE Maths," in term 1 and need to enhance their mathematical skills and knowledge up to grade 4 .

Entry requirements

Late joiners in January: Initial Assessments and interview to evaluate current maths knowledge and skills, including capability to study. These assessments help determine the students the appropriate level of the GCSE Maths course, whether it be Foundation or Higher. Students progressing from "Stepping up to GCSE Maths Foundation": excellent record of attendance, punctuality and homework completion, as well as evidence of working towards grade 4 in end of term 1 mock exam. How you will learn

You'll study in a classroom with a tutor, working through the Foundation level GCSE Maths syllabus. Learning includes practice questions, mock exams, and homework. The course is assessed by written examinations at the end of the course. Late joiners complete an initial assessment and interview to confirm the right level before starting.
