The Pearson Edexcel Functional Skills Qualifications in Mathematics Level 1 is for learners who want to develop understanding and skills in mathematics. The qualifications give learners the opportunity to: demonstrate a sound grasp of the underpinning skills and basics of mathematical skills appropriate to the level, and apply mathematical thinking to solve simple problems in familiar situations

How you will learn
Learning is work-based, so you'll develop and practise maths skills in the context of your job. Assessment is through a written test set and marked by Pearson Edexcel. You'll have an initial assessment to confirm that Level 1 is the right starting point and to plan your learning from there.
