About this course

Free UAL Level 3 Visual Arts Course in Portsmouth. Classes run at COPC Sixth Form Campus, full-time during the day. This two-year course builds on your GCSE art and design experience, giving you the space to develop your own creative practice in greater depth. You'll combine practical studio work with critical and theoretical study, exploring a range of visual arts disciplines. To enrol, you'll typically need four or five GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English and maths, plus a grade 4 in an art and design subject or a portfolio of work.

Who this course is for

You'll already be familiar with some of the skills and techniques, but the A level will give you the chance to study in more depth and develop your own particular artistic strengths and interests. It will suit you if you are creative and enjoy combining theory with lots of practical work. Even if you aren't aiming for a career in art and design, this course will give you a set of transferable skills including creativity, communication and the ability to work independently which can be useful in a range of careers.
