Transport Manager with OLAT Course. Study online, one day a week for 6 weeks. This free transport manager with OLAT course is fully funded for people wanting to work in transport management. If you're already working in the sector, your employer may make a financial contribution depending on the size of their organisation. You'll cover transport compliance and legislation, route planning, vehicle records, leadership principles, and sustainability in logistics. The course also includes Operator Licence Awareness Training (OLAT), covering transport legislation and industry best practice. You'll sit a short end-of-course assessment.

Who this course is for

This course is for individuals wanting to work in a transport office, current staff such as team leaders in a transport office, individuals preparing to step into transport office leadership roles, or individuals aiming to progress to gain the Transport Manager CPC qualification, but want to undertake a taster first. The course teaches all the knowledge and skills required to work effectively in a transport office. This is an online course that is just one day a week for 6 weeks.

Entry requirements

No prior skills or qualifications are needed. There are no specific entry requirements; however, we will ask you to complete an assessment before you start so that we can understand your prior knowledge and levels of English, maths and digital skills. You must be over 19, living or working in the Norfolk County Council or Suffolk County Council postcode catchment area, and not have joined another funded Skills Bootcamp since 1st April 2026.

How you will learn

The course runs online, with a tutor-led session one day a week for 6 weeks. You'll need a computer or laptop with a microphone, camera, and internet access. At the end of the course, you'll complete a 25-question assessment, which includes multiple choice questions. You need to score 50% or above to pass. Before you start, you'll complete an initial assessment so the team can understand your prior knowledge and your levels of English, maths, and digital skills.
