About this course

Free Teaching Assistant Level 2 Course. Study online. You can work through the course at your own pace, which makes it easier to fit around work, family, or other commitments. You'll need to be in a placement or support role in a school or college to take this course. It covers the skills and knowledge teaching assistants use day to day, from supporting pupils' learning to working alongside teachers. The course takes 16 weeks.

Who this course is for

This qualification is aimed at learners in placement / working in support roles within schools and colleges. Learners are required to be aged 19 years or over.

To be eligible for funding for courses you must be over 19 years of age as at 31st August in the current academic year and not be an apprentice, further eligibility may be linked to where you live and we will check that at enrolment stage and may contact

This is an online course you study at your own pace. Assessment is through a portfolio of evidence drawn from your work in a school or college setting. You'll gather evidence of your practice as you go, showing how you apply your skills and knowledge in a real support role.
