Who this course is for

The Local Authority have partnered up with Telford College to deliver a year-long supported internship for young adults with SEND or additional needs who do not have an EHCP. This fantastic opportunity is a one-year transition to paid employment programme. You will attend Telford College for three mornings per week to develop employability skills and, if needed, study Maths and English GCSEs or Functional Skills. A job coach will support you during the placement through a process of systematic instruction; you will learn the various skills you need to carry out your job role. You will develop enhanced communication skills, behaviour and conduct awareness for the workplace and safe working practices as well as continue to develop the literacy and numeracy skills that you will need in the workplace.
