This stand alone module will introduce you to the principles and practice of Local Anaesthesia administration within podiatry.
You will develop an understanding of the concepts of safe and ethical procedures related to the administration of Local Anaesthesia.
Gaining experience working in a clinical environment will improve your teamwork and communication skills, to help you develop a patient centred approach to assessment and treatment.
Your critical thinking skills will be developed when you assess a patient to make a decision on their suitability for local anaesthesia, taking into account any contra indications and risks associated with the procedure and patient informed consent.
