Building skills and knowledge towards volunteering in schools focusing on classroom support, SEN, safeguarding, behaviour support, a toolkit of ideas - engaging in conversation, developing speaking and listening skills, helping them to stay on task, breaking down tasks into ‘small steps’ to build confidence in their abilities, Building relationships with ‘harder to reach’ children - rewards/incentives, with an opportunity to specialise on a particular curriculum focus.
Entry requirements
Kirklees resident, aged 19+, resident in the UK for 3+years; or if you are an asylum seeker or refugee you must have been in the UK for 6 months and are yet to have a decision on your status, qualifications below level two or have significant barriers to learning.
