The Level 5 Early Years Lead Practitioner Apprenticeship is ideal for practitioners with significant experience in early years education who are ready to take the next step into leadership. This includes individuals working as room leaders, senior practitioners, or those aspiring to management roles.
The course supports learners to develop leadership, mentoring, and decision-making skills, enabling them to lead teams, drive quality improvement, and support children’s learning and development at an advanced level.
Applicants should be working in an early years setting in a suitable role that allows them to lead practice and support others. A Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent) is required, along with relevant industry experience.
Learners will need GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent), or be willing to work towards these alongside the apprenticeship if not already achieved.
A clear DBS check and the support of an employer are also required.
