Who this course is for

Theunits within theHNC /HND Leadership and Management give students the opportunity to gain knowledge, skills and behaviours aligned to the Occupational Standard (OS) for Operations or Departmental Manager. The awarding body has worked closely with The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA); The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM); and The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) in developing this programme. Students will be able to develop and apply their own ideas to their studies, to deal with uncertainty and complexity, to explore solutions, demonstrate critical evaluation and use both theory and practice in a wide range of business situations.By the end of Level 5, students will have a sound understanding of the principles of leadership and management and will know how to apply those principles more widely in the business world.

Entry requirements

We expect those studying this HTQ to ensure they have a Level 3 if studying Level 4, and Level 4 if studying a Level 5, in a related subject, as well as GCSE maths and English at a Grade C/4 or above. We welcome interest from mature students who may not have the formal qualifications expected, but a wealth of experience in a related subject.
