About this course

Free Level 4 Adult Care Course. Work-based training at your workplace. You complete this qualification while working in an adult health and social care setting, building on your existing role. The course takes around one year. You'll cover mandatory topics that apply to all adult care roles, then choose optional units to match your specific area of work. This makes the adult care qualification relevant to what you actually do day to day. You must be at least 18 years old and employed in the care sector. No formal qualifications are required to start.

Who this course is for

The Level 4 Diploma in Adult Care is an occupational qualification for learners who work in health and social care in adult settings and want to develop skills and knowledge in order to demonstrate their competence in their role. This qualification covers a range of topics directly related to the knowledge and skills needed to work in health and social care, with adults. All learners will complete the mandatory units and then a selection of optional units, allowing them to tailor their learning and acquire specific knowledge and skills, appropriate to the setting where they work and to their job role.

Entry requirements

Participants will be employed in the care sector. Must be at least 18 years old. There are no formal entry requirements for learners but centres must ensure that learners have the skills, potential and opportunity to gain the qualification successfully
