About this course

Level 3 Travel and Tourism Course in Darlington. Classes run at Darlington College, full-time during the day. The course is free if you're 16 to 18 years old. If you're 19 or over, fees may apply, though fee remission may be available.

Over 34 weeks, you'll study the course industry in depth. Topics include customer service, global destinations, travel products, and the business side of tourism. The course includes trips within the UK and Europe to develop your understanding of the industry in practice.

You'll finish with an NCFE Introductory Diploma in Travel and Tourism at Level 3.

We have close working links with a number of industry organisations, including multiple and independent travel agents, and also local and international hotel chains, who allow our students to train with them to gain valuable work experience and employability skills.

Entry requirements

4 GCSEs at 4 points or A* - C grades, which must include GCSE English or maths at 4 points or C grade and above. Alternatively you will need the Level 2 qualification in Travel and Tourism at merit grade.
