Free Level 3 The Children's Workforce (Early Years Educator) Course. Work-based training at your workplace. You study while working in an early years setting, so your learning is grounded in the day-to-day realities of childcare. The course is aimed at nursery assistants who hold a Level 2 qualification in Early Years Childcare and have at least a year's experience working with children. Over 18 months, you'll develop the knowledge and skills needed to work as a fully qualified early years educator.

Level 2 qualification in Early Years Childcare is desirable and at least a years experience working with children
What you will learn
You'll develop your understanding of child development from birth to five years and beyond.
You'll learn how to plan and deliver activities that support children's learning and development.
You'll understand how to observe and assess children's progress.
You'll learn how to support children's communication, language, and literacy.
You'll understand safeguarding responsibilities and how to keep children safe.
You'll learn how to work in partnership with parents, carers, and other professionals.
You'll develop your knowledge of health, wellbeing, and nutrition in early years settings.
How you will learn
This is work-based training, so your learning takes place in your early years setting. You'll build a portfolio of evidence drawn from your day-to-day practice. Assessment includes observations of your work with children, written assignments, and professional discussions with your assessor. Your assessor will visit you in your workplace to observe and review your progress throughout the 18-month course.
