Free Level 3 Sports Leadership Course in Burford. Classes run at Burford School, full-time during the day, over one year. You'll develop the skills to plan, safely lead, and evaluate sports and physical activity sessions for a range of groups. The course covers communication, teamwork, inclusion, and safety. To join, you'll need a minimum of eight GCSEs totalling 38 or above, including at least grade 4 in both Maths and English. No previous sports leadership experience is required.
Who this course is for
The Level 3 Sports Leadership qualification is a UK-approved occupational qualification through the Leadership Skills Foundation. Learners develop skills in planning, safely leading and evaluating sports/physical-activity sessions for diverse groups and events; communication, teamwork, inclusion, and safety are core content.
Entry requirements
The minimum entry requirements for students are the best 8 GCSE grades, totalling 38 or higher. For
example, two Grade 6s, two Grade 5s, and four Grade 4s. Students also need to have secured a Grade 4 GCSE in Mathematics and English. You must have an interest in developing skills. You must be organised, committed and a good communicator. You do not need to have done any other Sports Leader qualification to do this course

Assessment is linked to the Leadership Skills Foundation's occupational standards for sports leadership. You'll build a portfolio of evidence across the year to demonstrate your competence in planning, leading, and evaluating sessions.
