About this course

Free BTEC National Diploma in Sport in Knutsford. Classes run at Knutsford Academy, full-time over two years. The course is free if you are enrolled in the 6th Form at Cheshire Studio School. No private candidates are accepted.

This Level 3 sport qualification covers sport science, anatomy and physiology, coaching, fitness training, and sports performance. You will explore sport both as a subject and as a performer. The course carries the same weight as two A levels and builds transferable skills in teamwork, leadership, and resilience.

You will need five or more GCSEs at Grade 4 or above, including English and Maths. You'll finish with a Pearson Edexcel Level 3 National Diploma in Sport.

It allows you to explore sport both theoretically and as a performer. The equivalent of 2 A levels, you can study it alongside other level 3 courses such as A levels or other work related qualifications. You'll get transferable skills such as teamwork, leadership and resilience that are useful for a variety of careers and higher education courses.
