Free Level 3 Sport and Physical Activity Course in Ashington. Classes run at Northumberland College Ashington Campus, full-time during the day. This is a two-year course covering the sports, fitness and leisure industry. You'll study sports injuries, analysis of sports performance, fitness testing and sports coaching. Work experience with local employers is built into the course, giving you hands-on experience alongside your classroom learning. You'll need five GCSEs at grade 4 to 9, including Maths and English, to enrol.
Who this course is for
This two year course aims to enhance your skills, knowledge and understanding of the sports, fitness and leisure industry. You willl study a range of modules, such as sports injuries, analysis of sports performance, fitness testing and sports coaching. We also have excellent vocational and employer links within the community so you can undertake work experience to gain vital skills and behaviours for the world of work. Employers we work closely with include CIMSPA, Pure Gym, Newcastle Foundation and Ashington and Coquet School Games.
