Units studied include: Exercise Health & Lifestyle, Preparing for a career in sport and physical activity, Principles of Anatomy & Physiology, Fitness Testing for Sport & Exercise, Psychology for Sports Performance, Sports Nutrition, Current Issues in Sport, Sports Injuries, Sport & Exercise Massage. The NCFE programme will use continuous assessments during the year. You will be able to track your performance as you work towards the pass, merit and distinction grades. Methods of assessment will include: written essays and reports, presentations, practical demonstrations, coaching sessions, posters, leaflets, experiments, interviews and discussions. The programme is a combination of practical training and classroom theory sessions. Each lesson will provide you with assessment opportunities as you work to achieve your goals and targets.
