About this course

Free Level 3 Sport and Physical Activity Course in Bingley. Classes run full-time at Bingley Grammar School, over two years.

The course covers how the body responds to exercise, sports coaching principles, leadership skills, and working with young people in physical activity settings. You'll study anatomy and physiology, coaching practice, and how to plan and deliver sessions. Entry requirements

To study in the Sixth Form, students much achieve the general entry requirements which are a minimum of 5 x GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade 4 or above from a range of subjects including Mathematics and English Language. In addition a practical ability in a suitable sport is required.

Practical coaching tasks and written assignments make up a large part of the course. You'll apply your knowledge in real coaching and activity settings as part of your assessment.
