Level 3 apprenticeship qualification which allows entry to the Register of Veterinary Nurses held by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS). This qualification is suitable for those who are working in small animal veterinary practice and who wish to become a Registered Veterinary Nurse. If you are working in veterinary practice in an alternative role e.g. Reception or as a Veterinary Care Assistant this would give you the required additional knowledge, skills and behaviours to upskill and become eligible to register as a veterinary nurse with the RCVS. We train apprentices across London, the home counties and beyond due to our flexible hybrid learning approach which allows for those living further away from our college site on the North East London / Essex borders. All learners will be provided with a Team Educate account allowing access to their own platform which contains all the learning materials, access to their own email, and Office 365 package. We too have an 'Earn while you learn' program for those who may not already be working in veterinary practice allowing those who are interested in a career in veterinary nursing to apply directly for an apprenticeship place with us, providing an exciting employment opportunity as well as gaining a valuable apprenticeship qualification. Our college has access to your own training room, clinical skill building which is a chance to practice your new skills in a mock veterinary practice environment, kitchen, common room and outdoor space to relax during break times. During your training you will have at least 3 excursions to enhance your curriculum including an exotic animal workshop, trip to a charity wildlife hospital and London Zoo. The course covers all the new knowledge, skills and professional behaviours required to have an excellent future career in veterinary practice and beyond.
