About this course

Free Level 3 Principles of End of Life Care Course. Study online. You study at your own pace, so the course fits around work and other commitments. It covers the definition and approaches to end of life care, supporting a person's spiritual, social and emotional needs, and how to handle death and bereavement. The course takes around 35 weeks. It's open to people aged 19 or over who don't already hold a Level 3 qualification and have lived in the UK for three or more years.

This qualification provides learners with an understanding of the principles of end-of-life care, including knowledge of: the definition of end-of-life care approaches to end of life care how to support a person’s familial, spiritual, social and emotional needs how to confront issues of death and bereavement This qualification is intended for those who work in the Health and Social Care sector whose role includes caring for those who have a life-limiting illness.
