About this course

Level 3 Makeup Artistry Course in Leicester. Classes run at Any Driver Leicester, part-time during the day over 18 weeks. This course is funded through an Advanced Learner Loan.

The course covers a wide range of makeup artistry skills. You'll learn client consultation and makeup application, media makeup including small prosthetic pieces, fashion and photographic makeup, camouflage makeup, and face and body art. There's also the opportunity to develop skills in airbrush makeup and the styling and fitting of wigs and hairpieces.

You'll finish with a VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Make-Up Artistry.

Who this course is for

The VTCT Skills Level 3 Diploma in Make-up Artistry will enable you to work as a professional make-up artist.

You will gain skills and knowledge in instructing clients on make-up application, media make-up including applying small ready-made prosthetic pieces, fashion and photographic make-up, camouflage make-up, face and body art.

You will also have the opportunity to gain skills in airbrush make-up, styling and fitting head and facial postiche (wigs and hairpieces) or Mendhi skin decoration.

There are no formal prerequisite qualifications that you must have prior to undertaking this qualification.

How you will learn

You'll learn through classroom-based sessions at the centre. Assessment is practical and knowledge-based, reflecting the skills needed in professional makeup artistry. You'll be assessed on your technique and your ability to work with clients across the different makeup disciplines covered by the course.
