About this course

Free BTEC National Extended Diploma in Information Technology in Stamford. Classes run at Stamford College, full-time during the day.

The course runs over 36 weeks. You'll study programming, data modelling, website development, IT technical support, games development, and the internet of things. You'll also explore how businesses use social media and how to manage information systems. Entry requires five GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English and maths. A Merit in a relevant Level 2 Diploma may also be accepted.

You'll finish with a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Information Technology.

Entry requirements

5 GCSEs at grades 4/C or above including English and maths Alternatively a Merit in a relevant Level 2 Diploma and a GCSE grade 4/C in English and maths or a pass for functional skills Level 2 English and Maths.   We will review each application on a case-by-case basis to ensure you get a place on the course most suitable for you. One of the ways we do this is through a very effective '6 weeks to success programme' that operates from the first day you start your course.
