Free Level 3 IB History Higher Level Course in Royal Tunbridge Wells. Classes run at Skinners' Kent Academy, full-time during the day. This two-year course covers the IB History Higher Level qualification, studied alongside your other IB Diploma subjects. You'll explore historical events, movements, and ideas at an advanced level, developing skills in analysis, essay writing, and source evaluation. To join, you'll need at least a grade 4 in GCSE English and Maths, plus three other GCSEs at grades 4 to 9. You'll also need a grade 6 in History, or a grade 5 in English if you didn't take History.

How you will learn

You'll learn through classroom lessons, discussion, and guided reading. Assessment includes written examinations and an internally assessed historical investigation. The investigation is a piece of independent research you carry out on a topic of your choice. External exams are set and marked by the IB. Your teacher will assess the internal investigation, which is then moderated externally.
