Free Level 3 Health and Social Care Course in Huntingdon. Classes run at St Peter's School. This two-year, full-time daytime health and social care qualification covers health, social care, and childcare settings, communication in care, legislation, and how care is delivered across different environments. It carries the same UCAS points as one A level, so it can support applications to university as well as entry into employment. You'll need five GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English and Biology or Core and Additional Science.
Who this course is for
This course has been developed for you if you want to develop your knowledge and understanding of health, social care and child care. It is equivalent to 1 A level (with the same UCAS points as 1 A level). The units we study will give you an understanding of health, social care and child care and the different environments and settings where care takes place, the importance of effective communication in health and social care, the importance of legislation in health and social care and how to deliver a person-centred approach in the care you give. You will also develop transferable skills such as communication skills as well as research, planning and organisation. . This course can be taken alongside other Vocational Qualifications or A levels, such as Biology, Psychology, Sociology, English and Applied Science

You'll build a portfolio of evidence alongside sitting written examinations. Your teachers will guide you through each unit and provide feedback on your work throughout the two years.
