Free Level 3 Health and Social Care Course in Bexley. Classes run at CTK St Mary's Sixth Form. This two-year, full-time daytime health and social care qualification covers human lifespan development, anatomy and physiology, public health, safe practice, and individual care and support needs. You'll also complete a work experience placement in a health or social care setting. Entry requires a minimum of four GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including grade 4 in both English and Maths.

This course will provide students with an excellent opportunity to develop a good knowledge base and practical skill set for professions within Health and Social
Care. You will acquire core and transferable skills for
independent learning and will hone your communication,
case study analysis, problem solving, report writing and
team work skills. You will also develop an understanding of
human anatomy and physiology, human needs, legislation
and the diverse nature of care provision in the twenty-first
century. The BTEC Extended Diploma in Health and Social
Care empowers students to grow in confidence, improve
their organisational skills and mature intellectually.

How you will learn
The course is assessed both internally and externally. Internal assessment uses set tasks, case studies, and coursework completed throughout the two years. External assessment includes examinations set by Pearson Edexcel. You'll also complete a work experience placement in a health or social care setting. The qualification carries the same UCAS points as three A Levels.
