About this course

Free GCE A Level in Business Course in Canterbury. Classes run at St Anselm's Catholic School. You'll need five GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including grade 4 or above in Business or Maths, and grade 4 in English. Over two years, you'll study marketing, people management, global business, and core business concepts. The course builds critical thinking through a problem-solving approach, looking at how organisations operate, the markets they serve, and how they create value.

This course encourages candidates to develop a critical understanding of business organisations, the context in which they operate, the markets they serve and the process of adding value through a problem solving approach to study. Across 2 years candidates will study 4 themes based around marketing, people management, global business and business strategy.

As we have now moved to linear teaching candidates will sit 3 exams at the end of year 13.

Entry requirements

5 GCSE grades 4 or above including Grade 4 or above in GCSE Business or Maths and English at Grade 4.

You'll learn through classroom-based lessons at St Anselm's Catholic School. The Pearson Edexcel GCE A Level in Business is assessed entirely by written examinations at the end of the two-year course. There is no coursework component. Exams test your ability to apply business knowledge, analyse data, and evaluate business decisions across the four themes studied.
