About this course

Free Level 3 Floristry Creative Craft Course in Chelmsford. Classes run at Writtle College, one day per week over 34 weeks. This floristry creative craft qualification builds on existing floristry skills, focusing on creativity, communication, innovation, and critical evaluation. You'll need a Level 2 floristry qualification to apply, along with good literacy and numeracy skills. A portfolio of floristry experience may also support your application. This is a free floristry creative craft course for adults aged 19 or over studying part-time.

Who this course is for

Take your floristry skills to the next level with this advanced course that focuses on enhancing and nurturing your creativity in communication, innovation and critical evaluation. This course is available for: 16-18 year old students: start in September and study full-time over 34 weeks. You�ll be in college on Tuesdays and take part in a work placement at other times (minimum 450 hours) students aged 19 or over: start in September and study one day per week over 34 weeks. You�ll be in college on Tuesdays. You don�t need to complete a work placement, but we strongly recommend taking part in one to support the development of your floristry practice.

Entry requirements

16-18 year olds

Level 2 floristry qualification at Merit or Distinction GCSE Maths and/or English at 9-4 (A*-C) Evidence of practical floristry experience

19 years and over

A suitable Level 2 floristry qualification and/or portfolio evidence demonstrating floristry skills and experience Good literacy and numeracy skills Alternative qualifications or experience will be considered on application.

How you will learn

You'll attend Writtle College one day per week for classroom-based sessions. Learning is hands-on, combining practical floristry work with creative projects. Assessment is through portfolio evidence, practical tasks, and critical evaluation activities that reflect your progress across the course.

The centre will provide most materials. Writtle College will confirm anything else you need before you start.
