Highlights of the course include: The opportunity to learn to manage and ride the Colleges wide variety of well schooled horses under tuition by our experienced tutors, many of whom are BHS qualified and post-graduates. Trips and visits may be included, such as: Horse of the Year Show, Badminton Horse Trials and a visit to the Races. Visiting speakers may be invited such as Equine nutritionists, Equine welfare charities and Equine apprenticeship careers advisors. This course is delivered as two qualifications, each a year long (usually a national or 90 credit diploma in Year 1 and the extended diploma in Year 2). Students who are 18 years old when they start Year 1 will therefore be 19 at the start of Year 2 and may be subject to fees for the Year 2 qualification. All learners will need to successfully complete the Year 1 qualification to be able to progress to the Year 2 qualification.
