About this course

Free Level 3 Entry to the Uniformed Services Course in Worthing. Classes run at Worthing College, full-time during the day.

You'll need at least four GCSEs at grade 4 or above, preferably including English and maths, to start at this level. The course covers communication, teamwork, leadership, and physical fitness. You'll also join the college's Combined Cadet Force unit, wear a uniform, and take part in regular parades. The course takes one year to complete.

You'll finish with an NCFE Diploma for Entry to the Uniformed Services.

Who this course is for

Our exciting uniformed services courses will prepare you for careers workingwith people by developing skills such as communication fitness teamwork andleadership. In 2018 our Broadwater Campus officially opened its CombinedCadet Force Unit (Royal Navy).By studying our uniformed services courses you will join the Cadet Force which is an adventure activity focused programme. Entry requirements

You can start at Level 3 if you have at least 4 GCSEs at grade 4 or above preferably including English and maths.If you don't have these grades then you can start at Level 2 depending on your GCSEs. We have options for you so make sure you contact us if you are unsure which level to apply for.

How you will learn

You'll learn through classroom sessions, practical activities, and cadet force participation. Assessment is through assignments, practical tasks, and coursework. You'll take part in parades and adventure activities as part of your training. Work is assessed throughout the year rather than in a single exam.

What you will need to bring

The centre will provide most materials. Worthing College will confirm anything else you need before you start. A uniform is issued to you as part of the course.
