What you will learn
You'll learn how to manage a first aid emergency in the workplace
You'll practise CPR and how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED)
You'll learn how to treat an unconscious casualty and place them in the recovery position
You'll learn how to recognise and respond to choking in adults
You'll learn how to manage bleeding, shock, and minor injuries
You'll understand your responsibilities as a first aider in a low-risk workplace
How you will learn
Learning is classroom based, combining short taught sessions with hands-on practical exercises. You'll be assessed through a practical skills assessment and a short knowledge check. Both are completed during the course day. There are no exams to sit at home.
